Echinopsis Hybrid "apricot" [071.0]

The blossoms open in a star-like, funnel shape, extending upwards and outwards.
The inner petals glow in a warm, soft salmon-to-apricot orange. Towards the center, this orange deepens into a darker, warm bronze tone within the throat.
Some of the middle and upper petals display a bright, almost lemon-yellow central stripe, lending the blossom a beautiful radiance.
The coloration of the outer petals is a true highlight; they transition towards their tips and edges into a delicate pastel pink or light violet. This interplay of warm orange and cool pink creates a fantastic, almost exotic dynamic of color.
All petals are very long and narrow, tapering to an extremely sharp, fine point.
The staggered arrangement of the many pointed petals gives the entire blossom the appearance of an exploding star or a fiery corona. The outer petals curve elegantly backwards and downwards, adding a sense of movement to the flower.
Inside the main blossom, the throat opens to reveal a ring of fine stamens. The small anthers at their tips bear pale yellow pollen.
Also clearly visible is the pale yellow, multi-lobed stigma, which protrudes elegantly from the center.

The blossoms reach a length of 17 cm and a diameter of 9 cm. They have a pleasant fragrance.
