The absolutely breathtaking bloom of this Echinopsis hybrid captivates with its sheer radiance.
Boasting an impressive diameter of 10 cm and a remarkable length of 15 cm, it is a very large, trumpet-shaped flower that almost completely conceals the cactus body beneath it. Its form is perfectly symmetrical and radiates outward.
The petals glow with a deep, vibrant crimson red that stands out intensely. Towards the base—inside the tube and visible on the lowest, drooping petals—the red transitions into a warm, luminous orange, lending the bloom incredible depth. The outer petals also feature a reddish-orange shimmer along their edges.
The center of the flower is formed by a dense ring of pale yellow to creamy-white stamens; these create a striking contrast against the red petals and encircle the center like a wreath. The fine structure of the anthers is clearly visible.
The long, slender floral tube is densely covered with fine, hair-like spines or bristles and small scales, giving the bloom a fuzzy appearance and distinguishing it from other cactus genera. A subtle fragrance rounds off this magnificent natural spectacle.
