Echinopsis Hybrid "red" [OIL.2021.60.27]

The bloom of this Echinopsis hybrid is absolutely spectacular! It impresses with its sheer size and radiance.

With an impressive diameter of 11 cm and a remarkable length of 15 cm, it is a very large, trumpet-shaped flower. It opens into an imposing, multi-layered disc that seems to cover almost the entire pot.

The petals glow in a deep, vibrant crimson red that makes a striking impact. Towards the base—inside the tube and visible on the lowest, drooping petals—the red transitions into a warm, luminous orange, lending the flower incredible depth.

The center of the bloom features a dense ring of pale yellow to creamy-white stamens that contrast sharply with the red petals. The petals themselves are slightly ruffled and possess a silky texture.

The long, slender floral tube is densely covered with fine, light-colored, hair-like spines—a characteristic feature of many Echinopsis species. A subtle fragrance rounds off this magnificent natural spectacle.
