The base color of the petals is a light, translucent pastel pink that fades almost to a pure white at the edges. However, a sharply defined, bold central stripe—ranging from intense magenta to candy pink—runs down the middle of each individual petal.
The outermost, narrower outer petals are particularly intense in color; they display a deep, dark purplish-pink that provides a darker, contrasting frame for the back of the open bloom.
Deep within, a very light, soft, and translucent throat—ranging from creamy white to a delicate pale green—is revealed. This light background makes the elements in the foreground appear strikingly three-dimensional.
The filaments are pure white and bear dainty, cream-colored anthers. They form a ring around the remarkably large, wide-open, multi-lobed stigma, which sits in an elegant cream shade exactly at the center of the flower.
Unlike rounded petal shapes, these petals are narrow and lanceolate, tapering to a distinct, sharp point. This gives the flower a fiery, star-like appearance.
The flower is exceptionally full-petaled. While the outer petals extend flatly outward and slightly backward, the inner rows of petals stand more upright and curve inward like a cup. This creates immense spatial depth (a 3D effect).
The intricate structure of the cream-colored stigma sits like a small star at the center, forming the perfectly symmetrical heart of the flower.
The blooms reach a length of 20 cm and a diameter of 12 cm.
