Echinopsis Hybrid "yellow-pink" [OIL.2018.28.37]

The magnificent, large-scale bloom of this Echinopsis hybrid captivates with an elegant, almost porcelain-like delicacy. Measuring an impressive 17 cm in length, it forms a striking, funnel-shaped throat that opens up—when viewed from above—into a splendid, 11 cm wide disc.

Its color composition is one of subtle finesse: the numerous, slightly overlapping petals display a delicate creamy white or soft pastel yellow, taking on a warm, almost luminous yellow hue toward the center. The true highlight appears along the edges and undersides of the outer petals, where the tips transition into a fine, blushing antique pink, lending the bloom a vibrant, three-dimensional depth.

At the center sits a dense cluster of pale yellow filaments and anthers, gently guiding the viewer’s eye into the deep, greenish-shimmering tube. Complementing this visual splendor is a subtle, unobtrusive fragrance—making it a truly successful, opulent masterpiece of nature.
